Don’t spend a cent on your idea till you get advice.

I have worked with many startups, smart people with smart ideas, entrepreneurs but they usually have one thing in common. They are blinded by their idea and do not seek professional advice before committing funds to it.

I focus on technology ideas and found that people under-estimate costs and ‘blow out’ their budget due to unforeseen technicalities.

All it takes is to spend a couple hours with a Technology Consultant( ensure you have a signed NDA) that can provide advice on the possible costs, risks, opportunities and solution alternatives.

Some solutions to your idea should not involve much technology until it becomes viable(Why waste money on technology when your idea has not been proven). The customer is not concerned with the technology, they are concerned with a great service/product that provides them value.

Your best advice is from people you have not meet yet or aware of. You can not pay for feedback and market research is just research but showing people a service/product without any connection to you will provide feedback you need. Also keep in mind that people’s feedback will be different when they have to open their wallet for it.
